Have you even heard NDP 2009’s theme song? I just did and feeling proud of myself.. As if. I didn’t even know what the theme for this year’s NDP until like during the so called celebrations in school. It was quite a waste of time.

But I like Dr. Tan! His talk was thought provoking, and he had been the one driving us up and down the ‘hill’ in Kunming during the 2nd year of our school’s collaboration with him..even though I only got to sit twice out of my 5 days in the village.. I must do some advertising for the kids in Kunming..hahaha go buy the book!

I swear it will worth every single cent for Dr. Tan’s efforts to write the book and Miss Tay’s efforts to compile the book. Anyway since my reflection is featured, all my friends will have to buy it!! I will test you on the content, k kidding but above it, you don’t only get a good book but you’re doing a good deed at the same time! 6 bucks is like my one day’s worth pocket money but it will go a long way for the kids there.. all but one or two kids in the village only receive primary school education, they are really stuck in the poverty trap you learn about in SS because of the lack of education (that’s geog) and the core-periphery theorem you learn of in Geography. It’s called unequal development.. some cities get the better and some just end up with the crumble left. Singapore is not that huge.. so uneven development is not exactly applicable even though there are the poor and unfortunate here too.

We’re here enjoying political and economical stability (a bit despite of economic downurn because our nation dipped into our reserves for the Resilient package to help families cope), celebrating our 50th year of self governance and I guess we could do a bit of help to bless the unfortunate even though it ain’t a lot. Remember to place your orders for ‘Two eyes and one mouth’, it will be worth the money!

I realized the school trips I have been to are always very high profile. Yeah, thanks to me, as if. But yeah they’re great trips.. really good learning opportunities especially for overseas CIP even though it’s all so right to say there are people in Singapore that requires our help and so why are we laboring out of our home? I must say it’s a whole new experience and learning opp are really different. It widens your sights beyond this tiny 42km by 21km Temasek! Because seriously, we’re too so far in comfort zone - like right in the middle of the core. You don’t get any touch with molten layer at all. But Korea is still awesome. I love the culture. I am heading out with Sol Hee and Huisze tomorrow! Like my favouritest place ever again! City hall.

Michelle and I are like freaking patriotically listening to all our NDP theme songs from 1990 up to now and judging them! We had awesome crepes at Square 2 today and ddukbokki too.. Wonder love!
